Guichard sought to challenge the traditional association of saffron with warmth and leather, instead presenting Greek saffron oil from Kozani as a luminous, crystalline, and mineralic note that emphasizes clarity over traditional oriental opulence. The fragrance history is rooted in the meticulous sourcing of its primary material, utilizing what is considered the world’s highest quality saffron. By introducing Somalian myrrh oil as a "guest ingredient," the composition achieves a unique ambery roundness that complements its radiant facets.
